Abstract

Vietnamese-language interview with Khuc Minh Tho, President of the FVPPA (Families of Vietnamese Political Prisoners Association), and board member of The Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation. She recalled how Vietnamese American organizations petitioned the Vietnamese Communist government to free all political prisoners after the war to allow them to settle in US. The request was denied and the new Vietnamese government claimed that "there were no political prisoners in Vietnam." Since then, she has organized in an attempt to free the remaining prisoners of war and has been deeply involved community organizing.
