Le, Roger
Abstract
Roger Le, a second generation Vietnamese American, shares his family history, including how his family was treated as second class citizens after the war and subsequently their family's escape from Vietnam to the Philippines on a boat. He discusses the importance of Vietnamese Americans to seek out and look for primary sources, including the stories of the older generation in order to look beyond what is being taught in history books. He is a volunteer for the Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation.
