Le, Tay Cung
Abstract
Cung Le explains how he escaped Vietnam as a child with his mother three days before the Fall of Saigon in 1975. They ended up in refugee camps in the Philippines and then Guam. They were resettled in San Jose, California, where discrimination and bullying inspired him to learn martial arts and now works as an actor. During his fights, he wears the South Vietnamese colors of gold and red as a symbol of pride in his Vietnamese heritage.
