Nguyen, Nam Van

Abstract

Vietnamese language interview with Nguyen Van Nam, who rose to the rank of Colonel in the South Vietnamese Army during the Vietnam War. He was forced to flee Vietnam during the Fall of Saigon and resettled in Texas, where he worked in a number of jobs, including as a fisherman. He was active in organizing the Vietnamese after a number conflicts with the KKK in Seabrook, Texas between Anglo and Vietnamese fishermen. He moved to Houston and continued to be an active member of the Vietnamese American community.
